Hey guys! Sorry for the late blog but I couldn’t figure out
what to write about. I guess I’ll start with the devotions about the earthquakes
and the inspiring meaning behind them. After devotions, we went straight into
John Donne and his Holy Sonnet 10. His imagery of God breaking his very essence
and asking him to free him from the devil is a testimony to his love for
Christ.
Right after, we analyzed Meditation 17, also by John Donne. His vast amount of vocabulary was astonishing.
Today our homework is to study for the open book in-class essay tomorrow on Shakespeare, John Donne, and the Growth of the English Language (The part before the Rennaissance)
